AKA’s design and manufacturing process is run from the company’s North London premises. AKA has worked with virtually all technical equipment available, and has CAD templates of most audio desks, grading panels and mixing consoles. Extensive experience of working with different brands has given AKA a great understanding of the working configurations, ventilation and cable management needed for integration into a facility.
AKA can supply a full custom technical furniture package including control room furniture, composing furniture, radio desks, producer’s desk, editing desks and voice over desks. An individual look and feel is created that throughout the facility, and a custom reception desk, boardroom and meeting areas can be integrated into the package.

The ProWave system has been developed for mixing, post production, composing and mastering studios to house leading audio equipment from Avid, Solid State Logic, Filmlight, Dolby Atmos, Yamaha, Euphonix, Digital Vision, Blackmagic, Audient and Fairlight. The ability to add numerous configurations of worktops and equipment racks gives this system a flexibility which enables the operator to design the workspace to their individual needs while working in a perfect ergonomic and acoustic position.
The AKA PRODUCT range also includes three edit desk solutions: the ProEdit, ProLite and ProMedia. These edit desks have been designed to meet the requirements and budgets of various editing environments and can be used for Avid, Adobe, Final Cut Pro and other platforms. The ProEdit desk integrates fully with the ProWave range to create larger working areas by adding additional worktops and racks for individual requirements. The ProLite desk is a slightly cheaper version of the ProEdit which does not integrate with the ProWave products but includes an optional 12U bottom rack. The ProMedia is a compact edit desk designed to create an editing studio in restricted spaces such as home studios, media areas and gaming studios.
AKA offers a complimentary design service working with a studio floor plan to fit the system into the space. The design team is always on hand to discuss individual requirements and can offer a hybrid solution combining AKAProduct with AKACustom to meet exact requirements.
Hybrid ProWave desks are an excellent solution for Grading desks and AKA has incorporated Pandora and Nucoda panels into the ProWave range, using this concept for educational institutions including Liverpool institute or Performing Arts, Royal College of Art, Newcastle Academy and the Royal College of Music. AKA can provide centre sections for most audio desk manufactures and stocks centre sections for Pro Tools desks such as the Avid S6 desk, Avid S3 desk, the Yamaha Nuage, various SSL consoles and Avid C|24 desks.
